HK wing-type brushes represent the ideal alternative to pipe brushes in situations where high rotary speeds cannot be used. Needless to say, they can be supplied with all types of bristle material.
They come in standard dimensions from 6 mm to 30 mm.
In places where, due to their shape, interior (pipe) brushes are unsuitable, i.e. at the bottom of a drill hole, HK square brushes come into their own. They are capable of processing the sides and bottom of blind holes simultaneously.
HK square brushes are supplied in diameters from 18 mm upwards and with every type of bristle material, making them the ideal tool for deburring or cleaning drill holes. The standard shaft diameter (D) for all sizes is 6 mm.
In addition to cleaning, smoothing and removing rust, pipe brushes are particularly suitable for deburring recesses and drill holes. They are used with drilling machines, flexible shafts and machining centres.
We supply pipe brushes in standard sizes from 1 mm to 50 mm in diameter. Other sizes can be supplied to order.
HK flexible brushes are used in the processing of cylinder bore and piston bearing surfaces. These may be made of steel, cast iron, aluminium or any of the non-ferrous metals in common use. They can even be used with a hand-held power drill.
HK flexible brushes are noteworthy for their ability to improve surfaces in respect of roughness (to ensure the adherence of films of lubricant) and for increasing the contact area ratio (plateau finish). Their endurance can be considerably prolonged if used in wet operations. When making an enquiry or placing an order, please specify the diameter of the hole without fail. Standard grits are SIC K120, K180, K240, K320. Other grit sizes can be supplied to order. Recommended speed range, 350-700 rpm.
